The Goodfellas, The 48K’s, Ginger Tom, Off The Wire and Diamond White Riots have all been hand-picked by Jez Lee, owner of Fake Festivals, to perform on the main stage at this year’s ever-popular Sandall Park Fake Festival.

"It is a lengthy task selecting support bands for the festivals, and support submissions start rolling in from September 2015 onwards,” explains Jez. “We are very fortunate to receive hundreds of applications to perform on our main stage, and we do listen to each submission. There is no set criteria for choosing the artists, we just have a listen to them, check out their social media and then decide if their sound is right for our event.”

“We do however like to ensure that the artist is professional, as we take the quality of our entertainment very seriously, and we do not want the crowds to be disappointed. We feel we get the right balance of original and covers artists which mixes the day up, and also gives up and coming bands a chance to showcase their music, in the hope that any media attending the event might pick up on them. We have had the likes of NME Magazine, Capital FM, and various other radio stations attend our festivals on a regular basis, so it is a great platform for new music.”

The Goodfellas, a popular Doncaster covers band will be warming up the stage for the main tributes, with their lively mix of songs from the 90’s and noughties. They will definitely get the crowd bouncing with their ever popular indie rock covers.

The 48K’s are one of Doncaster’s finest and most talented original bands. They have gigged with some well-known names such as The View, The Enemy, Reverend and The Makers and Cast. BBC6’s Steve Lamacq has recommended The 48K’s as ‘one to watch’ and the band released their latest EP at the end of last year. Make sure you catch them on the Fake Festivals stage before they hit the big time.

Ginger Tom is a harmony driven rock/pop band from Doncaster. Performing their own original music, their songs are strong and concise from the outset, displaying superb guitar vocal talent, back by a solid dependable rhythm section. These guys will be sure to get your feet tapping.

Off The Wire and Diamond White Riots will be kicking off the festival with their mix of originals and covers. Both bands are from Doncaster and will be getting the crowd in the festival spirit with their great sets of tunes, getting everyone singing and dancing along inside the big marquee.
