children can learn how to stay safe at a special open day event.
The event that will be held at Thorne Fire Station on Wednesday, June 6, will teach children valuable lessons surrounding safety.
The day will include a tour of a fire engine and talks from firefighters.
The Driving Safety Team and Road Traffic Collision Eduction Team will also be giving talks and demonstrations on the day.
Talks and information will also be provided by the neighbourhood team, health visitors, smoke free home officers and test your heart campaigners.
The event organised by the Sure Start Children’s Centre takes place between 11am and 4pm.
