A Doncaster rowing club is amongst those shortlisted for a TV competition that could see them win £50,000.

Viewers in the ITV Yorkshire South region will be able to vote for groups including Doncaster Rowing Club, which would use the money to provide coaching for over-60s and juniors.

The competition will see six organisations in each ITV region showcase their work before viewers vote to choose the winners.

Four awards of up to £50,000 are available in each ITV region.

Dawn Austwick, Big Lottery Fund chief executive, said: “The People’s Millions competition is a brilliant opportunity for people to have a say in how Lottery money is spent in their communities.

The People’s Millions will be screened from November 24 to 26, with two groups showcasing their work each night.
