MODS and rockers joined in harmony to deliver Easter eggs to youngsters in the Dearne last week.
Dozens of Vespa and Lambretta scooters gathered at the Westville Club in West Melton to ride to the Rest and Be Thankfull Cafe in Swinton to meet up with bikers.
From there a convoy of about 50 bikes revved up their engines and rode to Montgomery Hall in Wath-upon-Dearne.
The convoy arrived to deliver about 70 easter eggs to toddlers at an event organised by Sure Start.
As they poured into the car park, the youngsters and their parents queued up one by one to receive their Easter treats.
The kids had been enjoying a dinosaur themed event at the hall in which they drew and played with puzzles of the prehistoric beasts.
The bikers played on this theme and told the excited kids that they were delivering dinosaur eggs for them.
Dearne Valley Scooter Club member Kerry Beatson said: “The kids were quite shocked when we turned up but they were absolutely thrilled to receive the easter eggs.
“It was so nice to be able to put a smile on all their faces.
“I’m sure not many people know but biker clubs in this area often do easter egg runs.
“We wanted to do something to help support our local community.”
She added: “A fantastic time was had by all, this was an excellent example of how scooterists and bikers can join forces to bring happiness to others, not only were the children smiling but us ‘grown ups’ were smiling too.
“The scooter club would like to take this opportunity to thank our fellow scooterists for turning out in your droves and the bikers who we joined forces with, mods and rockers united to make this such a fantastic event, a great show of generosity and comradery.”
Members of the scooter club and their biker friends are now intending on making the Easter egg run an annual event .
