A local hotel has stepped forward to help anyone who loves the idea of attending a music festival in theory, but in practice depressingly declines every year due to fear of retiring to a cold tent every night.

The Clumber Park Hotel and Spa, situated in the heart of Sherwood Forest, has pulled together an overnight package especially for the weekend of 8 - 10 June, so No Direction Home festival goers can transform all the terror of sleeping in a rain sodden tent for a stay at their spa – with not a tent pole or portaloo in sight.

Taking place in the magical setting of Welbeck Abbey, the No Direction Home festival is a weekend of music, literature, food and film. Headlined by Sheffield based singer songwriter Richard Hawley, there’ll also be performances from up-and-coming bands, as well as workshops run by Welbeck’s School of Artisan Food and very special screenings at The Lost Picture Show Cinema.

For £95 per couple per night, ticket holders can now replace the sadness of sleeping in a soggy bag with a soak in the New Leaf Spa’s hot tub, thanks to the Festival package, which includes:

Overnight accommodation for two, full English breakfast, Full use of the hotel’s New Leaf Spa facilities.

“There have been attempts to make camping more glamorous, most notably on The Only Way Is Essex with their infamous glamping episode, but there are still an awful lot of people out there who simply just can’t get past the idea of spending the night in a tent,” explains Edward Mobbs, the hotel’s Sales and Marketing Manager. “And sadly, that means the idea of going to a festival is a pretty miserable one.”

“The No Direction Home festival sounds like it’s going to be a great weekend so we’re hoping that the festival package we’ve pulled together, will mean that those people can enjoy the fantastic line-up too,” he continues. “That way they’ll be able to not only enjoy the festival but also know they’re able to put their feet up at the end of each day with a nice relaxing pedicure.”
