A rare leopard cub born at Yorkshire Wildlife Park has died.
A spokesman for the award-winning park in Branton confirmed a three month old Amur leopard cub had died.
It is not clear at this stage how the cub died.
The rare cub, one of the most threatened species on the planet, was one of three born on June 28 at the innovative park.
Only 70 of the majestic animals survive in the wild in the Far East of Russia and China and the fight to rebuild their numbers has been painstaking.
The three cubs and their parents, Drake and Freya, were said to be critical in an international plan to reintroduce them back into the native habitat for Amur Leopards in a remote region of the far east of Russia.
