Police hunting man after sexual assault on 18-year-old woman

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged sexual offence at the weekend.

An 18-year-old woman, who was walking alone in the early hours of the morning, was approached from behind by an unknown man.

The man allegedly inappropriately touched her and she ran to the other side of the road. But the man approached her again and inappropriately touched her for a second time. She then ran off and went into a late night shop seeking safety before reporting the incident.

The woman was shaken by the incident but was not hurt.

The suspect was described as white, between 25-30 years-old and around 5ft 6ins tall with a slim build and a shaved head. He was wearing dark blue jeans, a blue hooded top that was darker blue at the top and became lighter towards the waist and was wearing a light blue medium sized rucksack.

The attack took place on Beverley Road close to the junction with Strand Close, Hull between 1.40am and 1.55am on Sunday October 25.
