Rotherham United’s New York stadium will be swapping players for pints.
A beer festival, run by the Rotherham branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, was postponed in November because of a football match but organisers have rearranged it and it will now be held from January 8-10.
There will be over 70 beers, plus ciders, perries and wines, available to try.
Musicians will also be performing.
Organiser Steve Burns said: “The WilfordSmith New York Championship Beer Festival is the town’s biggest showcase event for Yorkshire beer and Yorkshire brewing and will now provide the ideal pick-me-up when everything falls a bit flat after Christmas.
“Beer lovers from across South Yorkshire can head to Rotherham to sample 24 championship winning Yorkshire beers, uniquely all under one roof, including the 2014 CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain.”
Entry is £5 and includes a free pint for CAMRA members. Visit www.rotherhamcamra.org.uk
