A man was left critically injured after allegedly being hit with an object in the street.
The 57-year-old man was attacked in Crown Avenue, Cudworth, on Monday at 9.15pm.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said emergency services were called out to an "altercation in the street" in which a man "sustained serious injuries to his head, after reportedly being struck with an object."

He currently remains in hospital in a critical condition, although police said his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection to the incident. He remains in police custody.
