THE world’s best darts players gather at The Dome this weekend for the Cash Converters Players Championship, after the PDC confirmed that the Players Championship Finals will be held at The Dome. Phil ‘the Power’ Taylor begins the defence of his crown on Friday night against Terry Jenkins.

The gargantuan Kasasbian take their even bigger ‘Velociraptor!’ LP on the road this winter for a 10 date tour, flexing their muscles in some of the country’s best arenas. Handel: Messiah. Doncaster Choral society will give a complete performance of this perennial favourite ‘cover to cover’ with an international line-up of soloists and directed by our conductor Simon Lindley from the harpischord. Saturday, December 10, Priory Place Methodist Church, 7pm.


Enchanted Guinea Pig Grotto, Cavy Corner Guinea Sanctuary presents an Enchanted Guinea Pig Grotto. This is a grotto for animal lovers of all ages. Who needs Santa when you can watch delightful guineas at play in themed areas? On the 18th the Grotto will form part of Cusworth’s own Christmas festival. The Guinea Grotto, which will be staffed by Cavy Corner volunteers, is to raise funds for the rescued guinea pigs who live at the Doncaster based charity.
