A parade of motorbikes travelled from Rotherham to Edlington so bikers could pay their respects to 32-year-old dad Karol Radkiewicz who died when he was hit by a car travelling in the opposite direction in the village on April 12.

Earlier today, bikers from across the region pulled on their leathers and held a minute’s silence at the spot where Karol died in Edlington Lane before revving their engines for a minute’s noise tribute.

Biker Joss James, who helped organise the tribute said: “What a great turnout today - thank you everybody who attended, donated and took time out of their days to organise this and also who turned up today.

“We’ve raised a fantastic amount so far to help support Karol’s family in these sad times, money isn’t everything but if it helps ease the burden then I think we’ve achieved what we set out to do.”

Riders travelled from Wickes at Canklow to the crash site.

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
