“We’re really excited to be working with DRAX to launch our CU in a box project,” Stacie said.

“We have produced STEM boxes for school children which will help them build a Recycling Robot.

“Kids will be encouraged to use household waste to create their robot such as cardboard boxes.”

The aim is that this will help children explore STEM subjects and possible future careers.

The Children’s University will also be hosting the Doncaster Reading Miles Challenge which is in partnership with the National Literacy Trust.

“This project is aimed at key stage two children,” Stacie continued.

“It’s all about making reading fun for children.

“The kids taking part will get a bag full of exciting reading challenges which includes a map where they can add a sticker for every 10 minutes that they read.”

They will also be able to design their own bookmark with craft materials provided.
