Doncaster author pens debut novel about mass murder on girl's seventh birthday

Walt Oxer has written Doonata, an explosive book packed with twists and turns – and focuses on two M16 agents involved in the case.

“The assassins came to murder her family – they left nine innocent people dead, but why?,” says the publicity material for Mr Oxer’s book.

Known by many in the Denaby, Mexborough and Conisbrough areas of Doncaster, he is now living on the north west coast of England in Blackpool.

His father Ernie was a well known Denaby man who for many years ran the boxing club at the Tom Hill gymnasium.
