Your community champions are set to be recognised tonight at a glittering awards ceremony at Doncaster Racecourse.
Earlier this year we asked you to nominate the people who make you proud to live and work in Doncaster - and tonight the winners of the Doncaster Pride Awards will be revealed.
The awards are run by South Yorkshire Newspapers, which includes the Doncaster Free Press, South Yorkshire Times and Epworth Bells, and aim to recognise exceptional people in Doncaster that have done something really special or given something back to their local community.
They have been designed to recognise people from all walks of life, young and old for a range of different contributions.
There are 12 award categories, which are: special achievement in the community, sporting hero, award for bravery, posthumous community contribution award, carer of the year, public sector worker of the year, educational person of the year, posthumous teacher of the year award, inspirational young person, love where you live award, mayors special award and overall winner.
We will be bringing you news of the winners live from the awards so check our websites, Twitter and Facebook pages.
Next week’s Free Press, which comes out on October 29, will also feature a special awards supplement.
