Passengers give seal of approval to award-winning Doncaster Sheffield Airport
Passengers have given their seal of approval to Doncaster Sheffield Airport after it earned a top award for customer satisfaction.
Saga, a company which specialises in providing services such as organising holidays for the over 50s, rated the Finningley-based site as the 'UK's favourite airport'.
The survey looked at several airport pet-hates, from queues at the check-in desk to the cost of parking, flight availability, staff helpfulness and comfort.
DSA came top in every category apart from the range of food and shops available, scoring particularly high in check-in queue, security queue, baggage queue and the cost of parking.
It was the only airport to secure above eight out of ten on any category.
Mike Evans described it as a "great place" and added: "As a Sheffield resident I much prefer to go from here than Manchester, East Midlands, Leeds, etc.
"Car parking services are great. And the new link road from the M18 makes it even easier to get to."
Denise Booker added: "Great airport. it covers all the places I like to travel to."
Karla Thompson posted: "I've just come back from Cyprus and I have to say Doncaster is the best I've travelled from.
"It's small and the people are lovely, they are not stressed and it shows unlike the big airports."
Steve Hunter believes DSA is "big enough to have the facilities and small enough to avoid all the queues."
"Offering a first-class customer experience not bettered anywhere else is what we pride ourselves on so it’s great to see it recognised."
