Are you itching to get back on the pitch but are not able to play the traditional game of football? Walking football could be for you.

Walking football is an alternative option to play the game and is aimed at people aged 50 and over, who due to reduced mobility or for other reasons, are not able to play. Anyone under this age is also welcome.

It costs £3.50 a session. There is no need to book, just turn up on the day. Sessions take place at Brigg Recreational Ground every Tuesday morning from 10am to 11am.

Councillor Carl Sherwood, cabinet member for health and well being, said: “A whole range of physical activity sessions are offered in North Lincolnshire to encourage people to get active and healthy. We recognise that people have different abilities, which is why we provide sessions like walking football.

“Walking football is a brilliant activity for people who love football but are no longer able to play the traditional game.”
