Fire crews were called just out to a Sheffield Church this morning to help get a naked man off the roof of the building.

The unidentified man had climbed to the top of the Upper Chapel Unitarian Church, Norfolk Street.

Firefighters from Central station were called at 2.47am by South Yorkshire police officers, asking for assistance at the scene.

A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “It only took us about three minutes to get there, but by the time we did the man had been brought down. He was completely naked.”
