A new South Yorkshire health chief has pledged to build on the good work already being done at a trust.

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust has named Kathryn Singh as its new chief executive.

Kathryn, portfolio director for the NHS Trust Development Agency, will take up her appointment on June 1, succeeding chief executive of six years Christine Bain.

Kathryn said: “I am delighted to be joining Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust as chief executive.

“This is an exciting opportunity and I look forward to building upon the excellent work which has already been established at the Trust.”

Kathryn has previously held senior executive roles in the NHS, including Deputy and Acting Chief Executive of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, where she led the successful application for foundation trust status.

Trust chairman Lawson Pater said: “I very much look forward to formally welcoming Kathryn to the trust in June. She brings with her a unique blend of healthcare provider, commissioning and regulatory experience.”
