A new American themed restaurant is to open in Doncaster town centre.
NYC Bar and Grill, which already has a restaurant in Bawtry, has announced plans to open a new outlet on the corner of Wood Street and Cleveland Street in the coming weeks.
The venue will open in premises formerly occupied by Liberty Grill, a similarly themed US restaurant, which closed earlier this year.
Posters advertising for staff have gone up in the windows of the building which was also Tonik bar in recent years.
A statement on the restaurant’s website said: “It started with a dream that turned into a reality. The idea was to form a great forward thinking American restaurant brand that would be known for providing great attentive customer service with smiley friendly faces while serving the freshest modern American food the NYC way.”
“The first NYC restaurant opened in December last year and since then “the brand hasn’t looked back.”
“With our second restaurant planned to open in early 2015 and other sites planned for the back end of 2015 and early 2016, everyone will soon be getting the chance to sample NYC if they already haven’t.”
It is the latest in a series of restaurant openings in recent weeks which have created jobs.
Pizza Express opened alongside the Vue cinema at Lakeside last month and global chicken chain Nando’s is set to open a restaurant at the same site on January 21.
The Filling Station, an American themed diner, has opened at the former Cafe Med in East Laith Gate while Harry’s Fish Restaurant has opened at Dunsville.
The Halo Lounge, a tea room and restaurant has also opened in Hall Gate.
