Mexborough man finishes 12th in London Marathon
Doncaster Athletic Club's Carl Ryde clocked a very impressive time of 2:23:04 in Sunday's 26.2-mile London Marathon.
Ryde, from Mexborough, finished in 12th place overall (outside of the elite runners) in a field of more than 45,000 runners.
Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge won the elite race in 2:03:05.
Ryde’s time was less than ten minutes off the Team GB Olympic qualifying time.
