The talk looks at how people pass through Westgate today and are unaware of its previous importance in the town’s history.

Westgate in the nineteenth century was a mix of houses, courts and slums, trades, professions and shops. It had chapels and schools and was well known for its public houses.

The talk provides a fascinating insight in to this hidden gem with old historic photographs of Westgate.

This talk has been organised by Friends of Boston Castle and Parklands, takes place at Boston Castle, between 7-9pm and costs £3, including refreshments.

There is no need to book – pay on the door.
