A man has died after a car hit a tree in South Yorkshire.
The 24-year-old was a passenger in a black Landrover Freelander which was travelling along Bawtry Road in Rotherham towards Centenary Way when it hit a tree on Saturday at 12.45am.

The man was taken to hospital in a critical condition but South Yorkshire Police confirmed he died yesterday.

A force spokesperson said: "Police are continuing to investigate the collision, and ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who saw the car prior to the collision to call 101 quoting incident number 48 of 21 July 2018."
