Just what were the loud bangs in Doncaster this teatime?

We have received reports of loud, unidentified, banging noises around Doncaster bus station at 5.30pm.

One Free Press follower said: “There were some loud bangs at the bus station/in the tunnels next to the bus station.

"Sounded like a firework exploding or a gunshot.

“There were a lot of cars beeping afterward so thought it was a crash but then there were another three bangs after that, I could hear them from where I was at Balby flats.”
