A special DoncasterBrexitometer’ event will be held in the town centre with people able to have their say on how they think the UK's exit from the European Union is going - irrespective of whether they voted leave or remain.

The non-partisan Best For Doncaster group will be staging the event in Doncaster Market Place outside Primark from 11am to 1pm on July 21 when people will be able to have their say.

Spokesman Frederika Roberts said: "The aim is to measure residents’ views on how they feel Brexit is going, irrespective of whether they voted for Leave or Remain in the EU Referendum.

“Our group recognises that Doncaster voted by a significant majority to leave the EU. A lot has happened in the last two years, though, and we would like to find out the views of the people of Doncaster.

"We invite local residents, whichever way they voted, to join us and share their views with us via our Brexitometer.”

The Brexitometer, devised to visually record peoples’ mood in an engaging way, will allow their voices to be heard, on subjects that include:

* How is Brexit going?

* Will Brexit be good for the NHS?

* Will Brexit be good for jobs in Doncaster

* Should there be a People’s Vote on the final deal?
