He said: "I'm incredibly proud to have been appointed as an ACC for Humberside Police and am excited to be a part of the chief officer team leading the force. I'm looking forward to working with colleagues, partners and the communities across Humberside.

"I've no doubt the people will be as welcoming and as friendly as they are in Northumbria and am delighted I will now be a part of keeping them safe.
