YOU’VE heard of the little house on the prairie – now check out the little house at Doncaster Royal Infirmary!
For this dainty des-res is a real miniature marvel that’s looking for new owners - but instead of a whopping great mortgage, it could be yours for the princely sum of £1.
The dolls’ house has been donated to the hospital by Anne Teasdale to help raise funds for patients with skin conditions but Anne admits she is sorry to see her stunning creation go.
She said: “It has been something I’ve been working on for five years so I’ve put a lot of time, money and effort into it. But I thought that it should go to helping out a good cause and raise money too, which is why I’ve donated it to the hospital to raffle.”
Anne, of Dunscroft, not only painstakingly handcrafted the house, she also created more than 100 pieces of furniture and accessories and reckons the total cost of furnishing the compact and bijou residence came to £2,500.
Now she has donated the house to The Lincoln Dermatology Suite at the hospital so it can be raffled off.
She chose The Lincoln Suite in gratitude for the care it provided to her husband Bill, who has recovered from skin cancer. Raffle tickets are on sale from now until December 7, They cost £1 each and can be bought in The Lincoln Suit.
