Homes and businesses hit by power cut across Sheffield and Doncaster this morning
Dozens of homes and businesses have been plunged into darkness this morning after a power cut hit areas of Sheffield and Doncaster.
The lights went out on 30 premises in the Warmsworth area of Doncaster at 7am and the Northern Powergrid said it would be switched back on by about 10am.
There are 10 properties also affected by a power outage at Hillsborough in Sheffield. The lights went out at 1am due to a problem with 'underground cables that supply the area'.
Workmen are on site trying to fix the problem.
