Shoppers visiting Meadowhall this weekend are urged to donate unwanted items as part of a charity push to help women fight heart disease.
Members of the public are urged to donate bags filled with unwanted items - from clothes and shoes, to books and toys - as part of the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Bag It, Beat It’ campaign.
The items will be used for sale in the BHF’s charity shops which will in turn help to fund ground-breaking research projects into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions.
BHF staff will be located in the High Street area of the shopping centre all day today and Sunday.
Around 28,000 women die from heart attacks each year in the UK, which equates to an average of 77 per day, or three every hour.
