STRICKEN tot Jack Ives’ flight of hope to the USA was hanging in the balance this week – as the supersized five-year-old battled a new illness.
The Swinton lad is hoping to fly to the States for potentially life-changing treatment to the syndrome that makes him grow at TWICE the rate of a normal boy.

But this week his mum Hayley told the Times: “He had an operation earlier this month, and they said afterwards that his clotting levels in his liver were too low for him to fly”.
