£35,000 boost for recovery unit

A Doncaster unit which helps people to recover from drugs and alcohol addiction has received a £35,000 boost.

New Beginnings, which is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), is based on Marshall Avenue, Balby.

The cash injection has come from Public Health England and New Beginnings is one of five organisations to take a share of £1,181, 300 of funding for the Yorkshire and Humberside region.

The money will be used towards refurbishing the unit.

Doncaster Council Cabinet Member, Councillor Christine Mills, said: “We are pleased that New Beginnings has secured this welcome funding boost.”
