Great tasting pâté wins award again

An Artisan food producer in Epworth is celebrating after winning an award for its pâté for the second year running.

Albion Artisan Foods, Albion Hill, Epworth, won one of the Great Taste Food Stars of 2014 awards with its chicken liver pâté with mushroom & garlic.

The awards are given out after the world’s largest blind-taste food tests.

Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers.

The test was judged by over 400 of the most demanding palates of food critics, chefs, cooks, members of the Women’s Institute, farmers and a host of food writers and journalists.

The award means that the manufacturer will be able to put a Great Taste label on their product, which is widely recgonised as a badge of honour in the industry.

A spokesperson said: “We entered the Great Taste to prove to our customers that we are committed to quality and passion for our products, and are proud to win again, two years in a row.”
