GAS engineers had to be called after a blaze in a Doncaster alleyway threatened a gas pipe.
Firefighters from Edlington Fire Station were called to the scene of the blaze in Sheppard Road, Balby, at 9.30pm on Wednesday.
But concerned officers decided to call out the engineers when they became concerned the incident had caused damage to a nearby pipe, which was next to a dance studio.
Officers put the blaze out using a hose reel.
They then waited at the site until the engineer arrived on the scene. They were in attendance for about an hour.
