Mexborough’s market is offering free stalls to local charities, fund raising groups, churches and schools during a new monthly charity market.
The charity market located on the outer market will be held on the first Wednesday of each month, up to and including November 7.
Mexborough councillor Tracey Leyland-Jepson, told the times: : “Mexborough Market is a much loved part of the local community and it seems fitting that this link should be strengthened through this monthly charity market.
“This a great opportunity for the council and residents to support the efforts of local groups all of whom I would encourage to book stalls.”
Mexborough market is home to over 90 stalls offering a wide range of goods including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish and many other goods,
The full market is open from 9am to 4.30pm, Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays and many traders in the Market Hall open six days a week Monday to Saturday.
A second hand market is held every Thursday.
The free stalls will be allocated on a first-come basis to groups who contact Markets staff on 01709 582036.
