This is the first stand up tour the comedienne has done since her hit series, Miranda, aired on BBC One, and is entitled My What I Call Live Show.

Boy band sensation, The Wanted, are set to arrive in the region this week on their UK wide Word of Mouth tour.

The popular band have already played for over one million people worldwide, enjoying success on both sides of the Atlantic.

People attending the concert at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena can expect to hear hits from their latest album, Word of Mouth, such as Walks Like Rhianna, We Own the Night and Glow in the Dark as well as hits from their back catalogue such as All Time Low, Heart Vacancy and Glad You Came.

3 folk band rock

Canterbury electric-folk group, Oysterband, are well known for their love of touring, and are set to arrive in the region tomorrow.

Consistently creative, the band continue to re-define their particular brand of folk-rock and find an even bigger audience.

They are one of the great live bands and will return with a classic mix of old and new songs including We Could Leave Right Now, Oxford Girl, Diamonds On The Water and No Ordinary Girl.

An evening showcasing four short films from Doncaster based film-maker Peter Samson comes to the Cast theatre this week.

The evening begins and ends with two recent films with a contrasting early work in between.

Peter’s work has been seen in theatres and cinemas across Europe and the UK, and now the film-maker returns to his home town of Doncaster, where he will premiere his final film.

Make sure you don’t miss out on this extraordinary homecoming.

5 Indie icons

Indie four piece, Franz Ferdinand are back with a new album and tour.

Titled Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, this is the band’s first album since 2009 and has rediscovered the imagination, vitality and fun found on their classic, eponymous debut album Franz Ferdinand and has been well received by critics and fans alike.

People attending can expect to hear tracks from the new album such as Evil Eye or Right Action as well older hits such as Do You Wanna and Take Me Out.
