Far Out Theatre tackle their first whodunnit play

wATH’S Far Out Theatre will be presenting their first ever murder mystery at Cusworth Hall, Doncaster.

Romance is Dead tells the story of Valentino Romance, the world’s leading wedding planner who is found murdered on the morning of a huge celebrity wedding. It looks like one of Valentino’s team – a highly skilled group of wedding professionals – committed the crime. Hidden amongst a bunch of shady suspects will anyone ever discover who the true criminal is?

Unlike a normal evening of theatre, Romance is Dead allows the audience to interact with the characters and play detective! As director, Vicky Evans, explains: “the audience get to watch a number of short scenes, which are full of clues and suspicious statements. Afterwards they have the opportunity to interview each suspect and determine who did it!”

Not only will the evening be a chance to see live performance but an opportunity to see the venue, Cusworth Hall, used in a new and dynamic way. Vicky continues: “Clues will be placed all over the house – the audience can use their time to explore each room and try to locate various snippets of information and physical clues to piece together the real story of Valentino’s murder. There might even be the opportunity to take the audience to areas of the house that aren’t usually open to the public…”

Romance is Dead will run at Cusworth Hall from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th March at 7.30pm. Box office on 01709 328456, book online at www.farouttheatre.com.
