WOMBWELL library re-opens today with a brand new look.
The centrally-located building has undergone a four-week refit.
It now boasts three new interview rooms and a reconfiguration of the reception desk. This opens up the library, creating more circulation space in the main reception area. Book displays are now on wheels to allow staff to move them around and allow community groups to use the building if required.
There has also been a total rewire of the lighting system with new lights installed.
The building will now deliver library and Barnsley Connects services, including a duty service from the welfare rights team, and all other access that was provided to the public previously from the town hall by Barnsley Connects.
