A WOMAN is scaling dizzying heights to raise money for Save The Children.
Lloyds bank worker Emma Vardy, of Abbey Walk in Scawsby, is preparing for an expedition to Everest Base Camp next month.
She said: “I’m really excited. I’m sure it’s going to be the trip of a lifetime but I’m not completely sure what to expect until I get there.”
The 31-year-old is getting fit for the nine-day trip to the world’s highest peak by climbing England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike in Cumbria.
Customer service advisor Emma hopes to raise £4,000 for the children’s charity. She is one of 35 members of staff at Lloyds Bank who applied to take part in the gruelling climb.
She has already reached about 42 per cent of her target but is calling on Doncaster residents to help.
She added: “Please dig deep and donate - every penny really does count!” To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/Emma-Vardy.
