Emergency services dealing with serious incident on major Doncaster road this morning

It is understood police are at the scene of the incident on Thorne Road, near to Sandall Park.

There are unconfirmed reports of a collision involving a pedestrian near to the road’s junction with Wheatley Hall Road and Shaw Lane.

Eyewitnesses have reported seeing a number of vehicles at the scene.

We have contacted South Yorkshire Police for more details about the incident which is understood to have happened at around 9.30am.
