Emergency services were called out to a street close to Sheffield city centre this evening amid concerns for the welfare of a man.
An ambulance, paramedic's car and police were called out to the scene in Glossop Road at about 6.30pm.
A man who works at a shop on the road, who wanted to remain anonymous, said emergency services were called amid concerns that a man laid in a doorway may need medical attention.
He added: "As soon as police and the ambulance arrived he got up to his feet and walked off so as far as we could see he did not need any treatment."
South Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service has been contacted and we are awaiting replies.
