A once failing college is celebrating this week after taking a huge leap forward and achieving fantastic Ofsted success.
Doncaster College principal George Trow said the journey of the college during his three years there “had been significant” towards achieving its grades of “good” across the board.
He said staff and students had worked hard to improve the status of the college, which had an unenviable reputation when he arrived in May 2010.
He added; “The college has had a troubled history. Prior to my arrival there had been four principals in five years – I was the fifth. This is a very pleasing Ofsted report. The report states that the college is very good in every area inspected.”
He further added: “The aim now is to reach the next level and become an outstanding college within the next two years.”
