Police visit schools to stop crime

Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) will be visiting schools in Mexborough, Conisbrough and Denaby over the next couple of weeks to provide crime prevention advice.

The Doncaster area PCSOs will be helping schools to mark all valuable equipment following the recent theft of laptops from a Sprotbrough school and attempted break ins at other schools in the area.

The PCSOs will be advising staff to mark IT equipment with a visible deterrent such as yellow paint or engraving. Schools are encouraged to store unused IT equipment in a locked cupboard when not in use.
