Nursery is rated as ‘good’by inspectors

A DEARNE nursery has been rated as ‘good’ in a new Ofsted report.

Flutterbies in Parkgate was given an overall grade two rating, which is the second highest score.

Ofsted Inspector Hayley Gardiner said: “Children are happy, confident and settled and relationships are good. Their independence is promoted well staff in various ways.”

Her report also praised management. It added: “Leadership within the nursery is strong and leaders have clear goals for the ongoing development of the service. They have an understanding of their responsibilities in meeting the learning and development requirements.”

However, the nursery does not have the top mark of outstanding yet because children do not always have individual resources for activities, such as baking, and some become restless while waiting to share items.
