OVER 100 Rotherham kids donned caps and gowns to graduate from a special university last week.
The young scholars were the latest to graduate from the borough’s Children’s University, during the first graduation ceremony held in the Magna Science and Adventure Centre.
Over 700 youngsters – aged between seven and 14 – took part in a series of exciting learning activities... including a rock school, fundraising for Help for Heroes, a trip to Valencia, cooking, dancing and much more.
Graduates received certificates from Rotherham’s Children’s University chancellor, Martin Kimber.
Mr Kimber said: “This is a fantastic scheme which is helping to raise young people’s aspirations and encourage them to take part in positive learning activities”.
Rotherham’s Children’s University was first piloted in Rawmarsh then rolled out across the borough.
