This is the scene of devastation at a Doncaster city centre gym this afternoon after a car smashed through a wall, scattering debris and sending fitness fans running for cover.

Pictures show the car lodged in the wall of The Gym Group’s premises on the roof of the Frenchgate Centre following the incident earlier this afternoon.

The exterior wall of the gym is part of the shopping centre’s roof top car park.

We have contacted South Yorkshire Police and The Gym Group for details.
