ARC, which owns several racecourses across the country including Town Moor, is taking legal action against Ladbrokes, Coral and BetFred for laying on pirate commentary and pictures in their betting shops, according to the Daily Mail.

The firm is taking action over illegal commentary from meetings at Lingfeld, Southwell, Worcester, Doncaster, Wolverhampton and Windsor.

It follows the courses' refusal to agree a deal for lucrative betting shop TV rights with ARC.

The illegal streaming has stopped but Andy Hornby, Ladbrokes/Coral chief operating officer, said: 'We will fight the legal action all the way. This is about the future of media rights."
