Kyle Blackie, 21, of Wortley Place, Hemsworth, Pontefract, Shoiab Mahmood, 24, of Malvern Road, Doncaster, and Bradley Stevenson, 20, of Balfour Road, Bentley, Doncaster, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday.

They all pleaded guilty to being involved in a number of offences. Blackie initially admitted three offences, but was found to have been involved in all 12 offences at a trial of issue hearing; Stevenson pleaded guilty to three offences which happened between September and October last year, and Mahmood admitted his involvement in nine offences.

The offences took place in Nottinghamshire, Humberside and North Yorkshire.

Blackie was jailed for five years, Mahmood for three years and six months, and Stevenson was sentenced to three years in prison.

Jewellery, cash, laptops, mobile phones, cameras, computer consoles and car keys were stolen during the break-ins.

Detective Chief Inspector Caroline Racher, who oversaw the investigation, said: “These men burgled people’s homes, stealing their personal possessions and causing unnecessary distress and inconvenience. Their offending behaviour paid no attention to county borders, so it took a lot of hard work throughout this extensive investigation with other forces to get them off the streets.”
