Doncaster march passes peacefully

A march, organised by supporters of the English Defence League in memory of Drummer Lee Rigby, who was senselessly slaughtered in Woolwich last week, has just finished and passed without incident.

Around 150 people took part in the march, which began outside the Old Angel pub on Cleveland Street continued up Wood St and then onto the war memorial outside Elmfield Park.

At the park, wreaths were laid, a short poem read and there was a round of applause in celebration of theDrummer Rigby’s life.

No groups turned up to proteat the march.
