Glenn McCardle (66) was runner-up, with Cameron Newman (67) winning the Division One competition and Stuart Eland (67) doing likewise in Division Two.

Steven Leedale (66) headed the Division Three section with Neil Allen (75) recording the best gross score of the day.

Maria Clark (147) won the Lady Captain’s Day competition contested over two rounds.

Terry-Ann Whiteley (148) was second with Tracey Aveling (149) finishing third.

Carole O’Neil (72) recorded the best net score and Claire Morrison (82) the best gross score. Rosemary O’Malley (19 points) won the nine-hole stableford.

Finley Glossop (net 61) posted a four-shot victory in Wheatley’s Junior Open. Alex Webb (65) was runner-up.

Wheatley beat Worksop 8-0 in their Sheffield Union clash.

Mother and son Joanne and Dillon York won the club’s Him & Hers competition.

Wheatley and Friends (80 points) were pushed into third place by Silkstone on a better back-nine in the Ladies Open team competition won by Wakefield (81 points).

Kevin Soar and Roy Maskrey (net 53) romped to victory in Town Moor’s August better-ball medal competition on Sunday,

Michael Sowerby jnr and Steve Bodle (net 60) finished second with Lewis Brown and Mark Littlewood (61) claiming third place.

Kathryn Hall (43 points) won Thornhurst Park’s Maurice Hall Trophy major stableford on Friday

Alison Wordsworth (41 points) pipped Keith Christian on a better back six.

Beverly Valentine won the club’s monthly stableford the following day with a score of 38 points.

Alison Wordsworth (37) posted another good score to finish second with Keith Wordsworth claiming third spot.
