Doncaster funeral director unveils Land Rover hearse at open day
A Doncaster funeral director revealed a hearse with a difference at community open day - a black off-road Land Rover.
Co-op Funeralcare in Thorne staged the event which included the unusual hearse which can be used for funerals for fans of the popular 4x4 vehicle.
Attendees included local councillors, clergy, business owners and doctors - as well as members of the public who also came in to meet the new funeral home staff.
Sally Anne Chamberlain of the local Clouds Community Bereavement Support Group, also read a poem to all who attended.
Hazel Roberts, Funeral Arranger at Thorne Funeralcare, commented: “We are passionate about getting involved with the local community, and we thought an open day would be the perfect way to show people that we’re always here as a friendly ear.
“Everyone was surprised to see the Range Rover hearse too, which I think helps to show how unique and different our approach is. I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came down to support us on the day.”
