A Doncaster counselling has appointed a new manager.

Kevin Hill has been appointed manager at Doncaster Rape & Sexual Abuse Counselling Service (DRASACS).

Kevin brings with him a wealth of experience after spending six years working with the UK’s leading relationship counselling service.

Whilst in his previous role, he managed the organisation’s national call centre, face-to-face counselling across South Yorkshire and delivered on line family support service contracts for both the Armed Services and Department for Education.

In his new role as manager of DRASACS, Kevin will be focusing on raising the profile of the charity and its work to support those who have suffered rape or sexual abuse.

Explains Kevin: “I will be working alongside my new colleagues here to reduce the barriers to access our services, improving our engagement with ethnic minorities and ultimately working proactively to reduce the need for our services.

“Through education, training, communication and direct liaison with key stakeholders including South Yorkshire Police, Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and Doncaster Children’s Trust, it is my aim to further improve and enhance the excellent work the team does. They are delivering a remarkable service that really gets results.”

As well as his role as manager at DRASACS, Kevin is studying Strategic Management at Doncaster College.
